The PRO Library / PRO Learning Packs

What do the Learning Packs cover?

Each Learning Pack in the PRO Library covers a very specific topic in art ed. In the PRO Library, you can use the filter along the left-hand side of the page to find Learning Packs on the topics that interest you most. It’s the most comprehensive learning library for art teachers anywhere. Plus, three new Learning Packs are added each month to expand the library and cover even more topics.

What is in each Learning Pack?

Each Learning Pack within the PRO Library is filled with expert trainings, hands-on video tutorials, and premium printable resources. Nearly all of these videos and resources are exclusive to Art Ed PRO and can’t be found anywhere else. You can download the resources and watch/re-watch the videos as much as you’d like. You will also have the ability to interact with art teachers from around the world through the discussion tab and collect PD certificates to document your learning over time.

Who are the facilitators for the Learning Packs?

Learning Pack facilitators are expert licensed art teachers from around the country. Each facilitator brings years of experience, as well as tried and true examples, methods, and strategies from their own classroom experience.

How long will it take me to get through one Learning Pack?

The time you spend on each Learning Pack will vary, depending on both the number of videos and number of resources in the pack. Some Learning Packs are worth 2 PD hours, while others are worth 3 PD hours. You can check each Learning Pack’s PD setting to determine the time commitment.

What percentage of Learning Packs are geared towards high school teachers? Middle school teachers? Elementary teachers?

Although some Learning Packs are more appropriate for specific grade levels and abilities, the majority are adaptable for students of all ages and for all teaching levels. You can explore the Learning Packs that are right for the level you teach by visiting the PRO Library and using the built-in filters to narrow your search.

How often are new Learning Packs added?

3 new Learning Packs are added to the PRO Library on the first of each month. We will notify you via email when fresh Learning Packs are added.

Is the content in the PRO Library exclusive to PRO members?

Yes, almost everything in the PRO Library is exclusive to PRO members. It is comprised of 99% new and exclusive content not found anywhere else. To ensure each Learning Pack is comprehensive and thorough, there are select resources which also show up in a few graduate courses or an occasional article in the AOE Magazine.

Can I download the resources and print them?

Yes! We hope you do. Each Learning Pack has a handy “Download All” button which allows you to download all of the resources so you can use them in your classroom right away. You can also preview each resource as you watch the videos and download individually as desired.

 

Earning PD Hours with PRO

How do I earn PD certificates?

Once you complete a Learning Pack, you can unlock your certificate by answering a series of questions in a short quiz. After successfully completing the quiz, you will be able to download your certificate immediately. Should you need to access or print your certificate in the future, you can do so from the PRO section of your account page.

Where do I find my completed certificates?

You can always access your completed certificates via the PRO section of your account page. This is true even if you decide to cancel your PRO membership.

How do I know if my state or district will accept these hours for CEU’s or Continuing Education?

If your school or state accepts contact hours (documented on your certificate with your name) as a method of Professional Development, PRO should work for you. However, we always advise that you check with your district/state if you are unsure.

How are the associated PD hours determined for each Learning Pack?

Professional development hours are determined by the length of video footage and the number of resources included within each Learning Pack. For example, a 3 PD hour Learning Pack will take approximately 60-75 minutes to review the videos, 45 minutes to review resources and 60-75 minutes to begin implementation of content into the educator’s own curriculum, instructional strategies, assessment methods, etc.

Can I earn graduate credit by subscribing to Art Ed PRO?

No. If you need graduate credits, we highly recommend taking an AOE Online Graduate Course.

 

Billing Information / Canceling My Subscription

What happens to my certificates if I cancel my PRO subscription?

You can cancel your PRO subscription at any time from your account page. Once cancelled, you will no longer have access to the PRO Library. However, you will retain all certificates earned during your subscription. To access your certificates while subscribed or after you’ve cancelled, simply go to your account page and click on “PRO Records.”

Can I cancel at any time?

Yes. PRO works best as an ongoing subscription, but you are completely free to subscribe and unsubscribe at any time.

How/when will you charge my credit card?

Upon purchase, we will immediately bill your credit card for one month or one year depending on your selection of monthly or annual billing.

  • If you select monthly billing, we will bill your credit card on a monthly-recurring basis on the same day each month until you cancel your subscription or your credit card expires.
  • If you select annual billing, we will bill your credit card on a yearly-recurring basis on the same day of each year until you cancel your subscription or your credit card expires.

How do I stop the automatic billing on my credit card?

To stop automatic billing on your credit card, you can do one of three things:

  1. Cancel your subscription.
    You can cancel at any time through your account page. Billing will cease immediately upon cancellation.
  2. Change your billing preferences to a different credit card.
    We will stop billing your current card, and future billing will occur on your new card.
  3. Switch to purchase order payments.
    We do accept payments via purchase order. In order to pay with a purchase order, you will need to select the annual billing option. All purchase order billing is done annually and your payment is due one month from the initiation of the subscription.

What if my credit card expires?

If your credit card expires, we will send you an email notification to update your credit card information. If you do not update your credit card information within one week of notification, you will lose access to Art Ed PRO until your card is updated and your subscription is re-initiated.

Do I get a discount for purchasing annually?

Yes! An annual subscription is the most cost-effective way to enjoy PRO. You will receive two months free when you subscribe at the annual rate. That’s 12 months for the price of 10!

What if I already have an account with AOE and my school purchases PRO?

If your school purchases you an Art Ed PRO subscription after you’ve already purchased one for yourself, please contact our Customer Engagement team, help@theartofed.com or 515-293-4283. We’ll help with the transition.

 

PRO for Schools

What is PRO for Schools?

Art Ed PRO is a personalized learning subscription for professional art teachers. PRO for Schools is an implementation of Art Ed PRO that is optimized for teams of art teachers, schools, school districts, and institutions of higher learning.

PRO for Schools allows school administrators to easily purchase, manage, and monitor Art Ed PRO subscriptions for teams or individuals. Administrators can purchase a series of memberships (keys) for as many art teachers as they’d like.

 

Questions for Teachers

What if I have a PRO subscription with one school but change to another school or district?

If your school administrator rescinds your access to PRO, you will immediately lose access to the PRO Library. However, you will retain 100% of your certificates earned and progress made in each Learning Pack you’ve started.  At that time, you will be able to subscribe to PRO using your own funds, or your new school/district can purchase PRO for you. Once you have re-subscribed, you’ll regain full access to the PRO Library. Teacher accounts can only be associated with one school at a time.

What if I already have an account with AOE and my school purchases PRO?

If your school purchases you an Art Ed PRO subscription after you’ve already purchased one for yourself, please contact our Customer Engagement team, help@theartofed.com or 515-293-4283. We’ll help with the transition.

 

Questions for Administrators

How do I add teachers (keys) to my PRO Subscription?

Adding teachers to your PRO subscription is easy. Each teacher will receive a special code, or key, to access their personal account.

To set up a new user, simply follow the directions below.

  1. Navigate to your account page and click “Subscription” in the sub-menu at the top of the page.
  2. Once on the Subscription Management page, click the blue “Assign User” button.
  3. You’ll then be able to enter the first name, last name, and email address of any teacher you’d like to invite to PRO.
  4. We will send your teachers a welcome email explaining PRO. We will also send each user a unique key. This unique key will allow them to gain access to the PRO Library and will connect their teacher account to your administrator account.
  5. You can revoke access to any account at any time in the future.

How do I revoke teachers (keys) from my PRO Subscription?

Teachers (keys) can be quickly removed from your PRO subscription at any time.

To remove a user, simply follow the directions below.

  1. Navigate to your account page.
  2. Click “Subscription” in the sub-menu at the top of the page.
  3. Scroll to the bottom and click the checkbox next to the user(s) you’d like to revoke.
  4. Once all desired names are selected, click “Revoke Selected.”
  5. We will send an email to your teacher letting them know that their access to PRO has been revoked by their administrator.
  6. Once your teacher’s access has been revoked, they will no longer have access to the PRO Library. However, they will retain all certificates earned during their subscription. At this point, the teacher is free to renew their subscription using their own payment method, or to connect to a new school that is paying for their PRO access.

Note: Revoking a key does not remove the subscription from your account. You will continue to be charged for the user until the subscription is removed.

How do I change the number of PRO Subscriptions in my account?

You can purchase additional subscriptions or delete existing subscriptions at any time.

To Add New Pro Subscriptions to Your Account:

  1. Navigate to your account page and click “Billing” in the sub-menu at the top of the page.
  2. Click “Add Keys.”
  3. Select the number of keys you want to add.
  4. Click “Confirm.”
  5. You will be shown updated pricing immediately. Added keys will show up directly on the Billing page.

To Delete PRO Subscriptions From Your Account:

  1. Navigate to your account page and click “Billing” in the sub-menu at the top of the page.
  2. Click “Remove Keys.”
  3. Select the number of keys you want to remove.
  4. Click “Confirm.”
  5. You will see your updated number of keys reflected immediately on your Billing page.

 

Technical Issues

I can’t get a video to play, what should I do?

If you’re experiencing technical difficulties, it’s likely due to an issue on your specific computer or your school’s firewall. If you’re at home, try a different browser or computer.
