If you’re looking for a lesson to start off the school year or to begin a new semester, this theme-based lesson is perfect! This lesson uses a subject that is familiar, the alphabet. As an entire class, students are challenged to create a new, theme-based alphabet.
Each student selects a letter and then must create that letter using imagery that starts with it. For example, a student might create a letter “O” by drawing images of office supplies. This project will help your students look at something mundane in a new, creative way.
