Kids love food, and kids (generally) love art. Why not mix the two and make some food art? Students will get to review making healthy eating choices while practicing their drawing skills. In addition, this lesson is a great place to introduce or review weaving by adding a placemat.
If you need to brush up on teaching weaving, make sure you’re one of the first 1,500 registrants for the 2016 Online Winter Conference. That way, you’ll guarantee yourself one of the coveted SWAG boxes where you’ll find a full-length DVD titled Paper Weaving with Peggy Flores. Peggy takes you through basic paper weaving as well as more decorative and advanced techniques. Be sure to sign up to snag this amazing free resource!
