Shannon Bell

Senior Graduate Instructor

Shannon is a full-time graduate instructor with The Art of Education. She has taught art to students Pre-K through adult, and has experience in both art and special education classrooms, where her special education background focused on autism and ABA. Shannon received her B.S. in Art Education from Indiana University in 2007 where she focused in Fibers and Metalsmithing. She then received her M.A. in Special Education from Kean University in 2011, and soon after began taking classes with The Art of Ed. She completed her M.A.T through Morningside College in 2015. Shannon has experience with STEAM and Makerspaces and loves teaching art with a focus on student choice. Her passion for art education lies in developing meaningful curricula and student creativity. When she isn’t teaching, Shannon loves being outside, cooking, adventuring, traveling as much as possible, and spending time with her friends, family, and two cats – Daphne and Taco Bell.
