My name is Lindsey Moss, and I’ve had my dream job for over a decade, teaching elementary art in the suburban/rural community of Yorkville, Illinois. I graduated with a BS in Art Education from Northern Illinois University (2004) and achieved my Masters of Arts in Teaching from Aurora University (2008). My pursuit of a stronger instructional practice led me to National Board Certification in 2010. My professional passion is finding creative ways to merge my quirky personality with the structure of my school district. I love to face educational challenges with imaginative, collaborative, and fun solutions.
In my personal life, I am married to my best friend, who is also an elementary educator. We are parents to two beautiful and creative little girls. Our family enjoys geocaching, crafting, and TV binging together. On the rare days that I am alone, I love nothing more than a great book and a warm Starbucks white mocha.
I love art education because I think art class is THE place where students can learn to be creative problem solvers in a technology-saturated work world. I am beyond thrilled to be a part of the AOE team, and I am looking forward to exchanging ideas with you.
