My name is Lee, and I’m the proud art teacher in a tiny, urban community in New Jersey, close to New York City. My single-school district houses students from PreK through eighth grade, and I teach them all! It’s a daily challenge to balance the various needs of such a wide age range, but it’s such a delight to witness my artists bloom from toddlers to young teens.
I’m passionate about creating the world I want to live in and fostering curiosity. My goal is to guide students towards experiences that will foster creative development and help them translate that into opportunity.
I have an Associate’s degree in Fashion Design from the Fashion Institute of Technology and a dual-major Bachelor’s Degree in Art Education and Fine Art from Fordham University. I also hold a Master’s in Teacher Leadership from Walden University.
In my off hours, I love to collage and paint as well as read voraciously. My library is my sanctuary. Traveling abroad and exploring the world with my husband is the thing I love most in this world next to teaching.
Being a part of this wonderful community of passionate art educators is an honor and a privilege.
