About the Author

Kelly Phillips

My name is Kelly Phillips, and I teach 4th and 5th grade in Hopkinton, MA. As a TAB teacher, I am passionate about fostering independence in my students. I strive to create an environment where all students can become independent, self-directed risk-takers.

I began my teaching career working with special needs students. I then earned my BFA in Art Education from Massachusetts College of Art and Design and my M.Ed. in STEM education from Framingham State University.

Outside of the classroom, I enjoy yoga, cooking, and being in nature. I’m excited to be a part of the AOE team!
