Hello, I’m Amber Kane, an art educator, textile designer, and stellar daydreamer. I have been teaching art for 10 years in a variety of public, private, and online settings. I have experience running and instructing summer programs and also provide teacher in-service training. I love helping teachers of all subjects understand what creativity is and learn how to bring it into their classrooms.
I’ve taught a wide variety of courses including art foundations, jewelry/metals, sculpture, darkroom and digital photography, studio art, AP 2D Design, AP Drawing, and AP Art History.
I received my Art Education degree from Messiah College and earned my master’s in Art with a focus on creativity from Union Institute & University.
When I’m not teaching, you can usually find me designing and creating textiles in my studio or wandering around the city with my Shiba Inu, Lobo, searching for streets and alleys that we’ve yet to discover.
