Art Ed Now—AOE’s Winter Online Conference—is just under three weeks away! Today, we’re unveiling the official conference schedule so you can review all of the incredible presentations and begin to plan your day!
Unlike most in-person conferences, you don’t have to choose which presentations to attend.
The fast-paced and exciting presentations are full of relevant information, and you have the opportunity to see them ALL!
AOE Founder Jessica Balsley and Art Ed Radio host Tim Bogatz will guide you through the day with introductions, announcements, giveaways, and other information between presentations.
If you miss a few presentations, don’t worry!
They will ALL be available after the conference with the AOE After Pass. In fact, the AOE After Pass allows you access to every single presentation, handout, and download, plus additional presentations for an entire year after the conference!
There will also be some awesome opportunities for artmaking!
This is especially true if you received a Swag Box as one of the first 1,500 people to register. The Swag Box is as good as it’s ever been, and you will be thrilled to get your hands on what’s inside!
One of the highlights of the box will be the drawing pencils provided by Derwent. You will absolutely love these pencils for your classroom and for yourself. Whether you prefer Watersoluble Sketching and Graphic pencils, Natural Graphite, or Compressed Charcoal Blocks, there are some great sketches just waiting to happen! Nic Hahn will show you how to create an amazing collagraph using those materials that will be delivered right to your door.
And when the day of the conference comes, you’ll have even more chances to get out your sketchbook and artmaking materials and spend some time creating!
Alecia Kaczmarek will also demonstrate an awesome abstract color wheel lesson for Art to Remember, and you will have the chance to work right along with her! Alecia will also show you how easy it can be to turn this lesson into a simple fundraiser. Art to Remember will also include resources for your classroom and a lesson that you can use immediately!
Be ready for a day filled with real-world advice, inspiration, hands-on learning, and creativity!
New Presentations
In addition to Nic and Alecia’s presentations, we are happy to announce another three presentations that will round out our schedule. First, Andrea Slusarski will share some of her best ideas for teaching painting, with “Painting Lessons to Build Confidence and Skills”.
Second, conference favorites John and Ruth Post will collaborate to share a little bit of their vast ceramics knowledge in “Clay Ideas for Beginning Students”.
Finally, Rachel Albert will have a fast-paced and entertaining presentation that may just give you some new ways to present the elements of art to your students with “7 Elements & 7 Lessons in 7 Minutes.”
Plus, Alexa Meade. Need we say more?
We would be remiss if we did not mention once again that contemporary artist Alexa Meade will be our featured presenter. Known for her stunning visual work that turns three-dimensional people into two-dimensional scenes, she will talk in-depth about her work and style. She will also discuss how we can help our students develop their own creative voice.
