AOE-LIVE-NARROW-875

Our fearless co-hosts, Andrew and Tim, are joined by a very special guest, author Lisa Phillips. Lisa is the author of The Artistic Edge: 7 Skills Children Need to Succeed in an Increasingly Right Brain World. Some ideas from her book lead to a great talk about artistic skills, leadership skills, arts integration, and how to show everyone exactly what great things we are doing when teaching art.

Great discussion! I have wondered how I can talk with authority to the administrators and Board at my school about the importance of visual arts. Our district is very supportive of the music program but not so much visual art and theater and not at all for dance. I will have to get Lisa’s book so I have a good way to approach the decision makers in my district.
