Around the holidays it can be fun to use Holiday Art Parodies in addition to your regular instruction. Looking at these (and comparing them to the original) can provide a nice art criticism activity AND fill in some of those strange shortened class periods, early outs, and snow days that can happen this time of year. You could even have students make their own parodies as a digital project if you are feeling ambitious and have the time.
The six parodies below are some of my favorites to show and talk about.
