Art for Baby: The Perfect Gift for any Art Teacher to Give
As an art teacher attending an occasion like a baby shower or a bridal shower, I feel there is this certain expectation to give a creative and cool gift (just like we are, right!). Plus, in my efforts to be streamlined and clutter free, I like to have one or two ‘go to’ gifts to give at a moment’s notice.
For baby showers, I’ve found my perfect ‘art teachery’ gift to give. It’s the book “Art for Baby.” Inspired by actual pieces of Op Art, the bold contrast and engaging images really do grab a baby’s attention. The Art teacher in me loves how the book even provide a little information about the artist on each page.
After receiving this book as a gift for my daughter, I saw how much she actually was captured by the images.
The book also includes a set of pull out cards you can place on the floor for the baby (the cat seems to be enjoying them, too). I taped one set next to the changing table and left the other on the floor for tummy time. We are still using this book today, but in new ways. At 18 months she likes to point out the ‘boy’ and ‘girl’ and identify with the shapes and ‘dots.’
So, if you are looking for a classy and fitting art teacher gift to give your loved ones and friends – look no further and get “Art for Baby!”
