Nora’s First Masterpiece

Do you ever have those moments you’ve been waiting for your whole life to happen? Well as an art teacher, artist, and just total nerd, I always dreamed of the day I would get to make a painting with my own children. That day has come! Behold Miss Nora’s first masterpiece at age 5 months. The first of many, I think!

I absolutely love doing art projects with Daria and watching her color (she’s 2 1/2). Daria never got into fingerpainting and usually doesn’t like the paint on her fingers!

Would you mind sharing what paints you used? My soon-to-be-5-month-old asleep half on my keyboard would love this but I know next to nothing about appropriate materials.

  There are actually some really good homemade paints using flour and water I am going to try I found on Pinterest. I used Crayola Washable, but had to watch her really really closely. I’ll keep you posted on what else I try with my little one this fall. Best of luck to you.
