Maine Art Assessment Webinars

A colleague of mine recently brought the Maine Assessment Webinars to my attention and I thought you would all like to know- One of them airs TONIGHT!  I know I’ll be tuning in…Taken from their website:

The MLTI and Department of Education will be hosting 5 webinars throughout the 2011-2012 school year on the Maine Arts Assessment Initiative and how it impacts teaching and learning in our schools……The Maine Arts Assessment Initiative (MAAI) has been designed to create an environment in Maine where assessment in Arts education is an integral part of the work all arts educators do to deepen student learning in the arts…

If you can’t join in you can later listen to the webinar and get the resources after the fact on their site. I’ll be interested to hear more about what another state is doing in regards to arts assessments and also to listen to the past webinar recordings in the archives – Who knows maybe I”ll incorporate some of this new learning into the Assessment in Art Education class that runs next month!
