Crazy for Pinterest!
The newsiest craze in social media, Pinterest, is exploring with art teachers all across the country as a platform to share ideas. I like to think I was on the cusp of the trend when I posted about Pinterest back a few months ago. Check out that post right here.
The concept is simple. you find images you like, and pin them to your Boards. You create boards based on categories you create. you could have a board for art inspirations, home decorating ideas, cooking, quotes, etc.
Here are some of my boards:
When I first started “pinning” most of the content was for personal things like home decor, cooking, etc. Now, Art Education has taken Pinterest by storm. Many of you have pinned AOE images, and I have sure pinned you! I have a board called “Art Ed” be sure to check out, but more importantly, find other art teachers to follow and you’ll have more ideas then you’ll know what to do with!

One really unique board to follow was submitted to me by Jill. It’s a board with ideas and resources for Special Needs in the art room!. Check out Jill’s AMAZING board right here.
Have you discovered the addicting pinterst craze yet?
