Just Two Weeks Away!

Can you believe we are just two weeks away from the start of the first AOE online graduate course? Blogging for Art Educators begins on June 1st. We already have a wonderful roster of participants ready to learn the ins and outs of the blogging world – learn how they can apply it to their teaching- and earn graduate credit in the process!

There is still time to sign up and space in the class! Enrollment is open until May 27th. On this date you must be signed up and paid to AOE to take the course.

Communication 2.0 – Blogging for Art Educators

June 1-20: (1 Credit)

Blogs are quickly becoming one of the most popular ways for art teachers and students to create, share, and document the learning process with colleagues, peers, and parents. Blogs allow tremendous creative freedom and can help connect individuals with similar problems/ experiences from all across the world. Through this class, participants will view blogs, learn blogging basics, create their own blogs, brainstorm implementation techniques to fit their own art classrooms, and discover ways to connect with other art educators through building and strengthening their own Professional Learning Community online.

Hi Jessica, I just signed up for the assessment course in July. I wanted to know if I will need current lessons to work with so that I bring home what I might only have at school for the summer. Thanks, Tracy

  Hi! Glad you’ll be taking assessment this summer! Many of the assignments involve creating assessments for lessons you already teach. You may want some materials for projects you wish to create assessments for, however, it will not be necessary to have anything. Whatever you think would help you best! Let me know if you need anything else and I’m happy to help!
