Out of the Closet
…. The Education Closet!
Have you been to the blog/website Education Closet? If not, it’s worth a trip! Susan is the mastermind behind this wonderful site focusing on Arts Integration, Innovation and Educational Topics (something near and dear to all of our hearts). She is pretty much a rock star when it comes to all things “Arts Integration” and has some fabulous resources to help you build awareness and start to integrate the arts into other disciplines in your school.
It goes both ways, right? We do a little vocab here, they can do a little music there… Because that is truly how kids learn best, when things actually CONNECT!
She also has a quarterly e-zine VIA (I love magazines and the concept of an e-zine is so totally cool to me). This e-zine focuses on articles written by experts in the field. This month’s issue is out, and the topic is Professional Development, and guess who is one of the contributors? Me! Blush. Fan my face. Huge Smile. Head on over to Education Closet and check out this amazing place! My article focuses on how Attitude Matters in Professional Development (part of my Master’s Research) and I am so passionate to be able to share my ideas with everyone. In this issue, one of my friends and mentors, Angela Maiers is also contributing, so the issue promises to deliver! Thanks for stopping by and visiting this awesome site, you won’t be disappointed!
What other blogs do you follow that are more General Education focused or Arts Education focused (besides sites just for art teachers?) Do share! We have a lot to learn from everyone in our education community?
