Introducing: Poster Posts

This is my first “Poster Post” where I plan on sharing visuals I’ve made for my classroom.  Visuals are so important to have around, because it’s just one more way that students can learn information. I plan on posting these on my site and as I make more “Posters” will share in a “Poster Post” with all of you!  Check out the top of the blog, and find all of my posters on the page labeled “Visuals.”

The first poster helps to remind students to raise their hands.  Talk with the students about why putting your hand in the air keeps art class fair! (and did I mention it keeps you sane?)

The second two provide a direct visual comparison between the organic and geometric shapes, which is a standard our 2nd grade students must know.

What other visual reminders do you post around your classroom? Stay tuned for more “Poster Posts” from The ART of Education!

  • Hands in the air, to keep art fair… I love it! I could use this for all of my students but I think my K’s would like this the best. This is the first time on your blog… I love it! Thanks for sharing so much!
